WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

From September 2026 on you are part of our Management Consulting department for a period of 3 - 6 months. The Management Consulting is a team that gives advice to the BASF group and its business units in the field of general management and is therefore actively supporting the change processes of BASF.

 

  • As a full member of the team, you are involved in the preparation, coordination, and implementation of consulting projects for BASF management.
  • You gain exposure to a broad range of topics such as strategy, marketing, organizational design, business optimization, and transformation initiatives.
  • Furthermore, you support the Data Analytics team of our in-house consulting unit and work on data-driven and AI-supported solutions for consulting projects.
  • You realize sophisticated analyses and develop specific tools and applications that support our consultants in their projects, including the use of modern technologies and data-driven approaches.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • advanced degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field
  • ideally first relevant work experience in an international business consultancy, analytics, or a similar environment
  • knowledge of data management, data analysis, and data science; knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Dash) is a plus
  • proficiency in Python programming and first experience with frontend frameworks like Streamlit or similar technologies
  • experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or initial exposure to AIbased applications (e.g., via projects, coursework, or practical use cases)
  • structured and analytical way of working combined with a hands-on mindset and curiosity for new technologies
  • fluent English skills
