WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As an Account Manager within BTC France (the internal distributor of the BASF Group in France), you will be responsible for a portfolio of existing and prospective customers in the paints & coatings, adhesives, and construction markets.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze customer needs, provide first-level technical support, and propose both commercial and technical solutions tailored to identified challenges;
  • Proactively develop customer strategies through in-depth market and product knowledge;
  • Lead and optimize commercial negotiations to ensure continuous growth in market share and results;
  • Prospect and retain new customers;
  • Actively contribute ideas to integrate new product ranges to broaden the offering for your industries, whether BASF products or third-party products;
  • Contribute to the updating of market and customer data through reporting systems.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry;
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a technical sales role;
  • You have experience in the paints & coatings market; knowledge of adhesives is a plus;
  • You are comfortable using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools in your daily work;
  • You are fluent in French and English; knowledge of German is an additional asset;
  • You are a dynamic, flexible, and enthusiastic team player;
  • You are results-oriented and enjoy working on varied tasks;
  • You see complex organizational structures as an interesting and motivating challenge.
