WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
As a Senior SAP HCM Payroll Consultant within the Payroll Product Team Europe & Americas, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of SAP Payroll solutions with a strong focus on German Payroll and Company Pension Schemes (Betriebliche Altersversorgung, bAV).
- As the subject matter expert for German Payroll and Company Pension Schemes, you take ownership of end-to-end processes and ensure compliance with German tax, social security and occupational pension regulations.
- You will analyze complex legal, regulatory and business requirements and translate them into sustainable solutions within SAP Human Capital Management (SAP HCM), including SAP HCM for SAP S/4HANA and connected cloud applications.
- A key aspect of your role will be designing and continuously improving payroll and pension solutions including payroll schemas, rules, wage types, calculations, interfaces, reporting and reconciliation.
- You will lead payroll and pension-related projects and workstreams, covering requirements engineering, testing, quality assurance, deployment, release planning and prioritization in an Agile and DevOps environment.
- In close collaboration with Human Resources (HR), Finance, pension specialists, external vendors and implementation partners, you act as a trusted advisor and ensure seamless integration across the system landscape.
- You will actively shape our technology transformation by evaluating and implementing innovative solutions such as SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP Fiori/UI5, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and SAP HCM for SAP S/4HANA.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Human Resources, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification
- minimum 8–10 years of SAP Human Capital Management (SAP HCM) Payroll consulting experience, with deep expertise in German Payroll (PY-DE) and German tax, social security and payroll regulations
- strong expertise in occupational pension schemes (betriebliche Altersversorgung, bAV), including pension calculations, employer- and employee-funded schemes, deferred compensation and pension settlements
- advanced technical knowledge of SAP HCM Payroll, including payroll schemas and rules, wage types, reporting, interfaces and Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP/ABAP OO)
- experience with SAP HCM for SAP S/4HANA, ideally combined with SuccessFactors integration, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP Cloud Integration (SAP CPI), DeconHR and SAP Fiori/UI5
- proven project leadership and stakeholder management experience in complex international environments, with the ability to bridge business and IT requirements and manage external consulting partners
- strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, an independent and customer-focused working style, and fluency in German and English
- ideally, demonstrated expertise German Payroll and bAV, with hands-on experience implementing complex pension processes and supporting an SAP HCM to SAP S/4HANA transformation
