WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As Product Owner for LeanIX in Global Digital Services, you will own BASF's strategic Enterprise Architecture platform end-to-end and drive its evolution into the trusted system of record for architecture, portfolio, and transformation decisions:

  • Own LeanIX end-to-end as BASF’s strategic Enterprise Architecture product by defining and continuously evolving the product vision, roadmap, and backlog in alignment with Enterprise Architecture & portfolio steering priorities.
  • Govern and continuously enhance LeanIX with a standard-first mindset, leveraging core capabilities while selectively implementing custom integrations and automated data pipelines to adjacent platforms.
  • Ensure stable operations and manage third-party software lifecycles as well as compliance and risk mitigation plans.
  • Establish and continuously improve LeanIX data governance by defining data ownership and quality standards to strengthen LeanIX as the trusted single source of truth for architecture and portfolio data.
  • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of LeanIX by engaging stakeholders across architecture, product, platform, and business teams, and by building scalable enablement formats such as trainings, workshops, communication assets, and a champion community. 
  • Embed LeanIX into key architecture and portfolio management processes to increase transparency and enable data-driven architecture and portfolio decisions.
  • Define and implement KPIs, reports, and quality monitoring mechanisms to track data quality, completeness, and adoption, and provide actionable insights for architecture governance, decision-making, and transformation planning. 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience in product ownership or a related role; experience in architecture related environments is a plus.
  • Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture, portfolio management, and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience with LeanIX and ServiceNow is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on technical experience in configuring SaaS platforms and implementing integrations, automated data pipelines, and data flows, ideally using APIs, REST, GraphQL, SQL.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in driving tool adoption, enablement, training, and community building across technical and non technical audiences in decentralized organizations.
  • Analytical and structured way of working, with the ability to translate complex requirements into pragmatic solutions and combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, high ownership, persistence, and a strong customer- and value-oriented mindset.
