Accounting and Tax Specialist (Based in Antalya)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field,
• Up to 4-5 years of experience in tax and accounting field
• Strong knowledge of financial legislation and the uniform chart of accounts,
• Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements,
• Knowledge of e-Ledger and e-Invoice and other e-processes,
• Experienced in procedures to be carried out with tax offices,
• Proficient in VAT refund processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of SAP
• Preferably has Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license,

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Ensuring all tax obligations (preparation and submission of tax returns, e-ledger) are fulfilled      accurately and on time, while monitoring and controlling payments. Prepare and submit tax declarations in accordance with local regulations. Enter and process tax payment forms and post relevant transactions in SAP.

2. Support routine and/or project-based internal and/or external compliance and reporting activities (i.e. VAT refund, government audits, compliance projects, process optimizations).

3. Maintaining relationships with tax authorities and ensuring the timely provision of requested information and documents. Monitor the tax office site for official notifications and communicate action.

4. Preparing for and participating, supporting internal and external tax audits. Support tax teams in tax-related queries and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

    5.  Act as the point of contact for routine business cases requiring accounting & tax mentorship and provide support to other functions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable organizations, purchasing etc.) to ensure compliance to local requirements.
