QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years’ experience of finance, accounting, budgeting and IFRS reporting or a similar role; preferably in international companies
  Excellent knowledge of accounting processes and financial reporting
• Solid knowledge of e-Ledger, e-Invoice, and other electronic accounting processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Advanced SAP knowledge (especially FI/CO modules)
• Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to understand business operations and translate complex data into actionable insights

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand business and financial flows
• Ensure compliance with BASF Group Accounting Standards, local statutory regulations, and tax requirements
• Perform asset accounting transactions and reporting in cooperation with the Service Hub (Berlin) in accordance with Local GAAP and IFRS
• Maintain General Ledger master data (Local GAAP view) for globally defined GL accounts
• Execute and review accounting entries and reconciliations
• Actively support Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, reconciliations, payment clearing, rebate postings, follow‑up activities, reporting
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting for BASF Group and Local GAAP
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required data, analysis, and explanations
• Perform quarterly deferred tax calculations and reporting
• Prepare data and calculations related to inflation accounting
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, provide necessary data
• Act as the first point of contact for the Service Hub and internal/external stakeholders
