WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Leading a team of Production operators and service personnel to ensure that the department operates to best practice in a continuous improvement environment
• Work in conjunction with the Day Production Supervisor on process optimization, troubleshooting and production related projects 
• Assist the Production Manager with daily responsibilities 
• Permit writing within the Production department 
• Asset effectiveness and SAP data collection and analysis 
• Training, development and management of shift production personnel 
• Supervise shift team(s) and ensure compliance with all BASF policies and procedures 

WHAT WE EXPECT

• 5 years experience working in a Technical Production Environment (e.g. Refinery, Chemical or Process Manufacturing)
• A level 7 in a Bachelor of Science/ Engineering or relevant qualification, (Chemical Production linked or a related technical discipline)
• Supervisory experience desirable, although not mandatory
• Demonstrated command of the English language, both oral and written
• EHS specific topics (e.g. occupation safety, process safety, Hazard Identification Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures)
• Production processes (e.g. Machinery)
• Microsoft Office, Asset Effectiveness and SAP
• Team leading skills
• Ability to understand technical information and documentation
