WELCOME TO BASF
The EU Government Relations BASF Group guides the political dialogue between the BASF group and the political actors within the EU, especially the political institutions of the European Union and the related organizations. This contains monitoring the policy and legislative trends, taking a stance for the BASF group, as well as the internal and external communication regarding these themes.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
As a Management Assistant, you will be part of a team that supports the Director in charge of the Brussels EU office and the full team in the day to day business. The Management Assistants are the central point of contact for the managers in the office, the colleagues in the BASF headquarter in Germany, in Europe and the world, as well as for all external visitors to the Brussels Office.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- You will take care of agenda management (organize and coordinate appointments and visits) as well as mail and e-mail management (reviewing and processing e-mails and inquiries).
- You will be responsible for international travel arrangements (book flights, trains and hotels, arrange visas, organize pick-ups).
- You will take care of telephone screening and message transmission, organization of conference calls/internal and external meetings (room reservation and preparation, catering order).
- Preparation of correspondence, presentations and reports (in Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is also part of your task package.
- You will prepare for the newcomers' arrivals (IT, business cards, office equipment and furniture orders).
- Finally, you will be responsible for expense reports, control invoices and budget control.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- You have a Bachelor degree or you are equivalent by experience.
- You are fluent in English and have a good knowledge of Dutch and/or French. Knowledge of German is a further asset.
- You have a very good command of MS office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
- You have excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
