WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

For our unit Customs EMEA , we are looking for you as an Expert!

• You increase transparency regarding new laws, regulations, and customs agreements as well as initiate and define regionally binding GB Guidelines to ensure adherence to customs requirements and legislation.
• You proactively engage with Customs Communities of Practice to ensure globally defined processes are followed.
• Moreover, you lead and coordinate the Operating Division community for customs regulatory topics and act as the single point of contact for Operating Divisions in their business model setup decisions from a customs perspective.
• In addition, you closely align legal and regulatory activities with the Process Design Team to implement necessary changes in the process landscape, and you coordinate with BASF Corporate Center and local customs authorities.
• You proactively monitor court decisions and translating them into the BASF EMEA operational setup (e.g. customs classification, preferential origin, FTA, follow ups).
• Lastly, you act as project coordinator for customs regulatory topics for Customs EMEA and develop and provide regulatory trainings to customs operational teams in EMEA.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or a comparable field, ideally complemented by legal knowledge, particularly in foreign trade law
• several years of professional experience in Customs and Trade
• effective communication in German and English as well as presentation and consulting skills 
• assertiveness and a drive to achieve joint success and fulfill the needs of service recipients 
• ideally knowledge of Power BI and SAP GTS, SAP R/3 & S/4HANA

WHAT WE OFFER

• Gross annual salary (full-time): 65.000 € - 69.000 €, depending on qualifications and professional experience. In addition, you can expect a bonus of 18% of your gross annual salary, depending on the success of the company and individual performance
