As a QC Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for supporting quality control laboratory operations through safe, accurate, and timely testing of raw materials, in process samples, and finished products in a manufacturing environment.
During your 12-hour rotating shift as a QC Laboratory Technician, you will…
- Demonstrate a strong safety mindset by wearing required PPE, follow all site safety procedures, participate in safety training/EHS initiatives, support ERP safety programs (including peer-to-peer observations), and promptly report unsafe conditions, incidents, and equipment concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory in accordance with Chemical Hygiene and Laboratory Safety standards, including glassware cleaning and general lab housekeeping.
- Perform routine quality assurance testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in compliance with site procedures and quality requirements.
- Conduct laboratory analyses using standard instrumentation, including FTIR, NIR, auto titrators, Gas Chromatography, viscometers, analytical balances, and pH meters.
- Calculate, evaluate, and document test results accurately and on time, compare data against specifications using approved software tools and record quality data and transactions in SAP (e.g., quality results, stock movements, non‑conformance documentation).
- Prepare, standardize, and maintain laboratory reagents, supplies, solvents, and retained samples, including proper labeling, storage, disposal, waste handling, and communicating replenishment needs to the Sr. Lead Laboratory Specialist.
- Support product quality and continuous improvement efforts by providing basic troubleshooting in collaboration with operations, logistics, and quality teams, and communicating test results and sample status to internal stakeholders.
If you…
- Hold an Associate's or technical degree in Chemistry, Analytical Testing, or related field - OR - a high School diploma/GED with 2+ years of laboratory experience.
- Possess basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and operation of computer-controlled instruments.
- Have the ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Bring strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and report data.
- Are able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Show commitment to following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Preferred qualifications
- Possess experience using standard laboratory instrumentation (e.g., GC, FTIR, balances, pH meters).
- Have basic familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
- Bring experience with SAP or other laboratory data management systems.
- Possess experience with common instrument platforms (e.g., Perkin Elmer, Mettler, Bruker, Anton Paar).
- Have 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience.
