WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We in Agricultural Solutions are preparing to be an independent, pure-play agricultural company within BASF group. To be ready for independence, we are looking for you to join us in our new Corporate roles (see here: Build Your Career on Our Standalone Transformation).

This role can be performed either part-time (80%) or full-time. 

• In your new role, you act as the key interface between Senior Executives, external payroll providers, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective payroll governance, strong internal controls, and accurate and compliant payroll processes.
• Your expertise is in demand when managing the governance of external payroll providers, coordinating payroll audits, validating payroll-relevant transactions and controls, and supporting complex and exceptional payroll cases.
• You coordinate and calculate global Long-Term Incentive provisions, including participant-level calculations, fair market value assessments and share price considerations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and year-end closing.
• Furthermore, you work closely with Finance, Controlling, Strategy and country organizations to determine relevant assumptions and target achievement levels and provide accurate provision data to local Controllers for booking and reporting.
• Right in the heart of things! You prepare analyses, reports, and documentation for external audits, annual compensation reporting and executive remuneration-related inquiries, ensure data quality and regulatory compliance, and drive the continuous improvement of payroll governance and Long-Term Incentive processes.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• successfully completed university degree in business administration, finance, human resources, accounting, or a comparable field 

• several years of professional experience in payroll, compensation and benefits, finance operations, in a comparable international business environment 

• strong understanding of payroll processes, accrual calculations, executive compensation programs, and governance requirements with a high affinity for data analysis and reporting 

• excellent English skills as well as proficiency in SAP HR or comparable HR systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel 

• strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a structured way of working, stakeholder management capabilities, and attention to detail 

• proven digital and AI focus with the ability to leverage modern technologies
