We are looking for a Regulatory Resistance Manager NA to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC. 

 
As a Regulatory Resistance Manager, you will lead the development and execution of regulatory and resistance management strategies that support the successful registration, market access, and lifecycle management of BASF's agricultural innovations. Working closely with business, development, and regulatory teams, you will drive registration activities, engage with regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders, and provide strategic expertise on resistance management, stewardship, and plant-incorporated products (PIPs). In this highly collaborative role, you will help protect and grow BASF's portfolio while supporting sustainable agricultural solutions and long-term business success.

As a Regulatory Resistance Manager NA, you create chemistry by...

  • Developing and implementing regional and country regulatory strategies across the product lifecycle, from research and development through phase-out or divestment.
  • Managing and steering registration activities for new and existing projects to achieve and defend product registrations in line with business objectives.
  • Partnering with Portfolio Management and Development teams to align business needs, regulatory requirements, and development priorities.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities and industry networks to support successful registrations and enhance BASF's regulatory leadership.
  • Guiding and advising commercial, marketing, and technical stakeholders on pest resistance management, durability assessments, and stewardship strategies for plant-incorporated products (PIPs).
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration to optimize project value, mitigate regulatory risks, and support sustainable portfolio growth.

If you...

  • Have a Master's degree in Agronomy, Biology, Ecology, Entomology, or a related discipline, with a PhD considered a plus.
  • Bring 8+ years of experience in agriculture, regulatory affairs, or pest resistance management. Relevant post-doc or projects also considered toward experience requirement. 
  • Possess strong knowledge of pest resistance management, entomology, nematology, agricultural practices, and the regulatory landscape.
  • Have experience with regulatory compliance, product registrations, and plant-incorporated products (PIPs), preferred.
  • Leverage your scientific expertise to guide resistance management strategies, stewardship programs, and market access initiatives.
  • Excel at communicating, collaborating, and influencing across regulatory authorities, industry groups, and cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Are able to travel up to 5%, domestically and potentially internationally.
