MAIN TASKS:

  1. Procurement of chemicals, consumables, solvents, accessories, safety tools, gas cylinders etc.
  • End to end PR/Process operations
  • Negotiations for competitive offers and fixing annual rate contracts for catalogue chemicals, solvents & consumables
  • Developing new vendors, new vendor creation in system (IMDG)
  • Tracking of orders & sharing status updates with stake holder Ø Co-ordinating with Controlling, Finance, EXIM, Stores & logistics; Analyzing CC / Category wise spending
  • Handling vendor payment queries
  • Tracking of open PO’s and timely closure
  • Tracking import payments and supporting document requirements to ensure timely payments

 

  1. Supporting end users for capex procurement by obtaining budgetary quotes, CAPEX PR creations, Delivery follow ups for Domestic CAPEX orders, alignment with central team for timely PO processing, handling vendor payment queries  

 

  1. Acting as a single of point of contact with central procurement team for annual maintenance contracts: Obtaining budgetary quotes, Tracking AMC's, PR creations; tracking AMC payments, handling payment & service related queries etc.

 

  1. Training
  • Providing ERP training to direct reports
  • Preparing procurement SoP’s, organizing training on SOP’s & guidelines to stakeholders

 

  1. Managerial Tasks 
  • Ensuring safety & compliance with local laws & company policies - Staying UpToDate wrt local laws and company guidelines e.g., dual use technology, adherence to Nagoya protocol
  • Supporting internal/external audits from procurement perspective
  • Understanding customer requirements, defining procurement strategies for RnD needs
  • Staying within allocated budget and meeting defined timelines - Continuously striving to increase efficiency wrt costs & timelines
  • Monthly spend analysis reporting
  • Striving for digitalization to enhance efficiencies

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and EXPERIENCE:

  • MBA/MCom, with 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in R&D
  • Should be fluent in communication
  • Proactive, result driven and entrepreneurial approach towards tasks
