About The Role
At BASF we are entering an exciting time within our Agriculture business with an existing portfolio of world class products and a pipeline of new products that will bring significant benefits to the agriculture industry.
As a Technical Marketing Manager, you'll play a pivotal role at the intersection of agronomy, technical expertise and commercial strategy. Working closely with sales, customers and industry stakeholders, you'll lead the technical direction of BASF's crop protection portfolio, develop compelling technical marketing programs and drive the successful launch of innovative solutions across New Zealand.
How You Will Do It
- Lead technical strategy and provide expert support for BASF's crop protection portfolio, helping drive customer success and commercial growth.
- Develop and manage agronomy trials, translating technical data and field insights into practical recommendations and commercial opportunities.
- Create technical marketing materials, product positioning and data-driven stories that support customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
- Partner with sales teams, customers and industry stakeholders to provide technical advice, training and product expertise.
- Lead the planning and execution of new product launches, including business case development, market assessments and launch strategies.
- Investigate field performance enquiries and provide technical guidance to optimise product performance and customer outcomes.
What We Look For
To be successful in this role, you'll bring a strong foundation in agronomy and crop protection, combined with the ability to translate technical information into practical solutions for customers and commercial teams. You'll enjoy building relationships, sharing knowledge and influencing outcomes across a diverse stakeholder network.
You will:
- Hold a degree in Agricultural Science or a related discipline.
- Have significant experience within the crop protection, agrichemical or agribusiness industry, ideally with exposure to a broad range of crop segments.
- Bring proven agronomic expertise and experience working with crop protection products.
- Be confident presenting technical information, delivering training and engaging with customers, industry groups and commercial teams.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to convert data and field observations into actionable business insights.
- Possess excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
