ABOUT THE POSITION 

As Delivery Lead for Brazil Tax Technologies, you own the technical solution for BASF Agricultural Solutions' indirect tax and fiscal-reporting landscape in Brazil – centered on the tax-determination and fiscal-books/reporting capabilities connecting to the SPARK S/4HANA platform.

You act as the technical solution owner for third-party or in-house solutions, translating tax-functional requirements into robust technical designs, configurations and integrations on SPARK.
You govern and steer the delivery of change requests arising from the Brazil Tax Reform (CBS/IBS/IS transition through 2033) and from ongoing production support of the live solution, validating effort estimates and prioritizing the backlog.
You are responsible for external vendor management including IT solution providers and implementation partners.
You coordinate interfaces with the AP ERP Platform team to ensure end-to-end integration (SAP DRC, Nota Fiscal, SEFAZ).
You ensure creation and maintenance of technical documentation and code in Azure DevOps, and drive quality through testing, UAT support and defect triage.
You partner with the Tax function – jointly evaluating and approving new demands before build – and you own technical feasibility, architecture fit and solution integrity in collaboration with solution and enterprise architects.
You evaluate the current Brazil Tax Technology landscape and build a roadmap for continuous improvement and future target-state evolution.
You provide technical guidance and coaching to local Brazil tax-technology Subject Matter Experts and advocate APB/I's agile ways of working.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS 

Education
University degree (e.g., Bachelor) in Computer Science, Computing in Business, IT, or a comparable field. Master degree (preferred) 

Experience
Several years' experience in software development, architecture and solution design, ideally in a tax or finance IT context.
Proven experience delivering SAP-integrated tax solutions (e.g. indirect tax determination and/or fiscal reporting) OneSource, Tax One, SAP DRC or comparable.
Experience in at least two comparable positions and in managing external vendors/implementation partners. 
Project experience in agile/DevOps environments; leadership experience within agile teams is an advantage. 

Technical skills
Understanding of Brazilian indirect tax and e-invoicing (NF-e/NFC-e, SEFAZ, SPED, fiscal books).
SAP technology and integration (SD/MM/FI touchpoints, master data, interfaces).
Cloud provider (Azure); Project management software (Azure DevOps); Databases; SAP master data / reference systems.
Solution design & architecture alignment; requirements engineering.
Analytical thinking, problem-solving and systematic troubleshooting.
Quality assurance, test-case design and UAT.
Stakeholder management and consulting.
Maintenance of technical documentation and code (Azure DevOps).
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
