As a Head of Quality Operations FFP, you create chemistry by...

• Leading and managing all AP Quality Control Laboratories at mainly FFP-focused sites, with particular focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency, including continuous optimization of service costs and responsibility for the associated cost centers. 
• Driving the implementation, optimization, and cross-checking of analytical methods, employee training, and investment in analytical equipment, and fostering continuous exchange between labs. 
• Providing operational leadership to laboratory leaders, including workforce planning and ensuring the required level of qualification and continuous development of employees. 
• Regularly verifying the proper and professional execution of all activities within the area of responsibility. 
• Driving continuous process optimization in laboratory organization, in collaboration with customers both internally within AP and externally, and transferring experience across American sites. 
• Driving innovations in analytical methods, techniques, and processes from both internal BASF/AP and external sources, while continuously optimizing personnel efficiency and laboratory structures. 

If you...

• Hold a master’s degree or other scientific degree (higher education). 
• Have at least 10 years of relevant experience. 
• Have experience leading managers of managers within a line and operational organization, including leadership of teams at multiple sites. 
• Bring extensive, senior-level professional expertise in quality control and analytical laboratory operations. 
• Are comfortable operating with a global scope and shared decision-making accountability. 
• Are used to reporting up to Director level (Org-Level 5) and collaborating closely with external stakeholders and customers.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and process-improvement skills, with a strategic, shaping mindset. 
• Are able to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally.
