We are looking for a Head of Global Asset Mgmt Insecticides to join our Agricultural Solutions team for our BASF Crop Protection Asset Management business in Research Triangle Park, NC. 

The Head of Global Asset Mgmt Insecticides is accountable for the strategic, value-oriented leadership of BASF's global insecticide active ingredient asset portfolio across the full asset lifecycle, leading the Global Asset Management team for the indication and maximizing business performance before and after patent protection of proprietary active ingredients, in full alignment with Crop Systems and AP strategy.

As a Head of Global Asset Mgmt Insecticides, you create chemistry by...

• Leading, coaching and developing the global Asset Management team for Insecticides, setting clear standards for asset strategy quality, long-term roadmaps, scenario robustness and decision consistency. 
• Driving the Asset Management Playbook, integrating business and market development, intellectual property, supply/COGS/price guidance, go-to-market, innovation, and regulatory and stewardship into one aligned roadmap per active ingredient. 
• Ensuring forward-looking visibility on COGS, supply strategies and asset profitability by partnering with Countries, Operations, Procurement and Finance. 
• Acting as the primary interface to the CCO organization for Insecticides, representing the indication view in forecast validation, volume and value outlooks, demand and supply alignment, and risk escalation. 
• Serving as the indication-wide focal point for resistance management and stewardship of assigned active ingredients, ensuring asset strategies proactively address resistance risk and regulatory sustainability. 
• Providing indication-specific asset, market and lifecycle insight that supports prioritization of R&D research targets, lifecycle management concepts and development investments. 
• Providing strategic guidance on in-licensing, out-licensing and external manufacturing or commercialization models, and managing ongoing third-party agreements proactively. 

If you...

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in agricultural science, agronomy, biology, chemistry, life sciences or business administration (Master's preferred; a PhD or MBA is a plus). 
• Bring 15+ years of professional experience in crop protection or a comparable agricultural, chemical or life science industry, covering strategic marketing, product or asset management, supply and sourcing, or R&D. 
• Have 5+ years of managerial experience leading and developing a team of experienced professionals. 
• Possess a deep understanding of insecticide active ingredients and their lifecycle, including IP strategy, patent expiry dynamics and post-patent business models. 
• Bring strong commercial and financial acumen covering COGS, margin management, price guidance, asset profitability and portfolio steering. 
• Have expert knowledge of insecticide resistance management, product stewardship standards and regulatory sustainability of active ingredients. 
• Show proven people leadership and strong influencing and communication skills to align Crop Systems, the CCO organization, R&D, Operations, Procurement, Finance and Legal without direct authority. 
• Experience across the full asset lifecycle (including post-patent-expiry performance) and with third-party in-licensing/out-licensing, external manufacturing and agreement management is preferred. 
• Are able to travel up to 10%.
