We are looking for a Distribution Specialist to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Regina, SK.

 

The Distribution Specialist is accountable to the Distribution and Logistics Manager for providing excellent customer service by administering selection and distribution of Finished Good products to meet the expectations of the Sales and Marketing plan, in accordance with Environmental Health and Safety standards, International, Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations and documentation of Canadian and International finished products as required by the BASF Agriculture Products business. In addition, this position will assist and guide the AP business with any import/export support required.

As a Distribution Specialist - Regina SK, you create chemistry by...

 

  • Working with Demand Planning, S&OP Analyst and Customer Service to achieve phased sales targets and coordinate the distribution of Finished Goods direct to, or through 3rd party distribution centers to the customer as defined by SAP.
  • Replenishing inventory from US and Canada to all 3PL warehouse across Canada to ensure timely in-season delivery of products to retails.
  • Coordinating all activities associated with the movement of BASF materials imported into and exported out of Canada while ensure compliance with all Government Regulations. This will include Free Goods purchase orders.
  • Facilitating third party relationships with brokers and freight forwarders for the importance and exportations of BASF goods through all Canadian ports to ensure proper compliance and timely clearance and delivery.
  • Working with CASS and Regional Logistics to ensure that all freight payables are processed in a timely manner.
  • Managing the yearly physical inventory audit process for BASF Canada at all 3PL locations including book to book reconciliations.
  • Receiving, processing and following up on customer complaints/nonconformance management documentation.
  • Observing and adhering to all Company adopted policies and procedures.

If you have...

 

  • A Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years industry experience in warehousing, distribution, and import/export.
  • Proficiency with integrated SAP business systems software and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Familiarity with Canadian customs/import/export rules, and documentation requirements for agricultural commodities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize in a dynamic, seasonal environment.
  • An analytical mindset with attention to detail for inventory reconciliation and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; experience coordinating with external 3PLs and carriers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of cross functional teams.
