Now hiring! Pathology Summer Associate

 

We are looking for a Pathology Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon, SK. 

 

Location: Saskatoon, SK 

 

Contract Duration: 6 months (Summer 2027) 

 

Wage: $25 - $32 / Hour

 

During peak periods in the season, overtime will be paid for evenings or weekends.

Students will be hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency - Raise Recruiting. Opportunities are based on business needs at our sites.

As a Pathology Summer Associate, you create chemistry by...

  • Seed preparation and seeding disease of nurseries in the field.
  • Disease nursery plot maintenance and care including pest control and disease ratings. 
  • Assist in the execution of Plant Pathology Lab tasks including fungal isolations and culturing. 
  • Assist in Greenhouse and Growth chamber seeding, maintenance, and rating of disease projects.  
  • A dynamic and passionate team with expertise in agronomy and plant pathology.
  • assist in creating a safe working environment for the team. 

If you have...

  • A valid Class 5 Driver Licence
  • Strong agronomic competence attained through pursuing or having obtained your degree in Agriculture or another college along with experience in the Agriculture Industry  
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills 
  • Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise minimizing impact on results  
  • Familiarity with or showing strong Interest in plant sciences, canola development and plant pathology
  • Ability to deliver results in pursuit of both individual and team goals  
  • Desire to obtain valuable transferable skills such as time management, leadership and working independently  
  • Experience with working with plants in in field and/or greenhouse environment is an added benefit. 
  • Experience working in a lab, microscopy and microbiology is an asset.
