Treasure Valley of Western Idaho and Eastern Oregon 

 

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team for our BASF | Nunhems Vegetable Seeds Business in the Treasure Valley of Western Idaho and Eastern Oregon.

This is a field-based role, and the selected candidate will need to reside in the Treasure Valley. Relocation assistance is available, if necessary.

The Account Manager will grow market position and market share and build long-term relationships with national and international customers in line with the Marketing and Sales strategy within BASF Vegetable Seeds, with the goal of delivering profitability and strong partnerships.

  • Planning, reviewing, adapting, and executing the annual sales plan for the market
  • Representing the company and introducing relevant products and concepts to customers to build long-term partnerships and generate short-term sales
  • Participating directly in international and cross-border projects with customers
  • Providing market, pricing, and product information to support development of the marketing and sales plan within the crop team
  • Managing collections in accordance with financial policy and payment terms to ensure sufficient cash flow
  • Contributing to the trial program and proposing assortment recommendations tailored to local needs or specific customers

If you...

 

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree
  • Have 2–5 years of sales experience within the vegetable seed or agricultural industry
  • Possess solid, well-rounded knowledge of the vegetable seed business, preferred. Onion crop experience, preferred
  • Demonstrate strong agronomic skills
  • Communicate effectively with advanced written and verbal abilities
  • Show an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders across diverse backgrounds and functions
  • Are able to travel up to 25-30% overnight
