We are looking for a Network and Systems Engineering Specialist to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Palmyra, MO.

The Network and Systems Engineering Specialist role exists to support the site in the areas of OT infrastructure, networking and networked devices, communications and data systems, cybersecurity, systems used for physical security, emergency control and response systems, digitalization initiatives, and other non-process control systems and devices.

As a Network and Systems Engineering Specialist, you create chemistry by...

• Facilitating the specification, installation, inspection, troubleshooting, upkeep and integration of required systems and hardware to support the sites needs with respect to communication, security, digitalization, etc. in accordance with BASF and Legal requirements.
• Supporting projects to keep up with obsolescence, required improvements, or repair of covered systems including fiber optic networks, fire monitoring equipment, physical security systems including access control and CCTV systems.
• Liaising with procurement and vendors to support proprietary needs and replacement components of covered systems.
• Maintaining proper documentation of covered systems and devices to meet regulatory and BASF requirements.
• Serving as the Officer of Automation Security (OAS) for Buildings, Logistics, and Lab areas while maintaining alignment with the BASF Corporate Vulnerability & Attack Surface Management (i.e. Cyber Security Officer orCySO) on behalf of the Hannibal Site.
• Interfacing with BASF IT to ensure functionality and integration of covered systems .

If you...

• Have an Associate's degree or higher in a field involving covered job duties, as well as 10+ years of demonstrated experience. 
• Possess expertise in networking, communication infrastructure, cybersecurity and related systems. 
• Demonstrate ability to proactively identify, analyze and resolve moderately complex system, network and device issues with sound judgment, escalating or seeking expertise when needed to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operation. 
• Understand current requirements, vulnerabilities and opportunities within covered topics in order to elevate and enable prioritization of initiatives to enable compliance and continuous improvement. 
• Communicate clearly and effectively across functions, conveying technical information, system impacts, and best practice recommendations to support safe, aligned, and informed decision making.
