WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Support our Global Ecotoxicology unit at the earliest possible date in planning and organizing biological studies with terrestrial invertebrates, plants, or insects for a fixed-term period of two years.

  • In your new role, you will be responsible for planning and organizing biological studies involving invertebrates or plants in close coordination with the laboratory lead.
  • You will prepare test systems and active substances based on study plans using a variety of techniques and contribute your expertise in handling test organisms both in the laboratory and in field trials.
  • Your responsibilities will also include documenting and evaluating study results in various IT systems, as well as presenting or communicating findings graphically when required.
  • There is always room for improvement! You will optimize existing study methods and continuously develop them further in line with our research strategy.
  • Safety comes first! You will carry out all activities in compliance with relevant safety regulations and the Ecotoxicology safety philosophy.
  • Together with us, you will foster a corporate culture that embraces the responsible use of AI and integrates it firmly into everyday collaboration.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • successfully completed scientific vocational training (e.g., in biology, environmental sciences, chemistry, or a related field)
  • initial to several years of experience in conducting ecotoxicological studies in either the terrestrial or aquatic environment, ideally including experience working under GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) conditions
  • sound knowledge of experimental design, including relevant analytical and testing methods, data evaluation, as well as occupational safety, health, and environmental protection requirements
  • good German and English language skills, along with proficiency in common IT applications (MS Office and ideally laboratory or data management systems)
  • enjoyment of conducting work in field environments in addition to laboratory-based activities
  • openness to using AI in your daily work and a willingness to explore and effectively apply new digital tools and technologies within your area of responsibility
