About The Role
At BASF we are entering an exciting time within our Agriculture business with an existing portfolio of world class products and a pipeline of new products that will bring significant benefits to the agriculture industry.
As a Canola Site Operations Lead, you will enjoy a diverse role overseeing the safety, compliance and efficient operation of BASF's canola seed sites across Australia. You'll be responsible for site governance, infrastructure, EHS and regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and CAPEX delivery while working closely with breeding, seed production and operations teams to drive operational excellence across multiple locations.
How You Will Do It
- Lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of BASF’s Australian canola seed sites, ensuring consistent standards across multiple locations.
- Drive site governance, infrastructure maintenance and asset management to support reliable and audit-ready operations.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring strong performance, compliance and operational excellence.
- Champion EHS, stewardship and regulatory compliance through audits, inspections, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead site CAPEX activities, partnering with key stakeholders to deliver operational improvements and business outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with breeding, seed production and operations teams to support successful canola seed production programs across Australia.
What We Look For
To be successful in this role, you'll bring experience in agricultural operations, along with a strong commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence. You'll enjoy working across multiple sites, building relationships with diverse stakeholders and driving efficient, well-governed operations.
You will:
- Hold a qualification in Agricultural Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- Have experience in agricultural operations, farming, seed production or rural business coordination, ideally within a multi-site environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of EHS requirements, auditing processes and regulatory compliance within an agricultural setting.
- Be highly organised with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate contractors, suppliers and site activities effectively.
- Have a hands-on approach, with experience operating farm machinery or agricultural equipment highly regarded.
- Be a proactive communicator who can collaborate effectively across operations, breeding, seed production and support teams
