Cost Center, Profitability Accounting and Cost Charging Analyst (fixed-term project)

This role is offered under a fixed-term, project-based contract, with a guaranteed minimum duration of six months.

Area:

In the hub of Montevideo, we have the Business Reporting (BR) area, which encompasses activities related to cost-central accounting, inventory costing, fixed assets, investment projects, and the preparation of income statements with a breakdown by business. From these activities, we derive information that we transform into reports that assist business and service units in the Americas in their decision-making processes. 

Main Objective of the Position:

Provide support to business units in preparing company income statements regarding cost center allocations, explaining deviations in results compared to other periods, and performing monthly EBIT analysis. For Non-Trade Business, execute and support all activities related to billing not associated with the company’s core business. 

Main Tasks:

• Perform daily and monthly activities related to Cost Center Accounting, Income Statement & Non Trade processes for BASF Americas group companies and businesses.
• Monthly process the complete distribution of expenses for the different cost objects, generating the monthly income statement that provides information for business decision-making.
• Ensure the consistency of information between the financial module and the management module.
• Provide and analyze the correct allocation of the different positions of the monthly and annual income statement.
• Participate together with the team in improving the design and flow of the process, seeking improvement and automation opportunities through new technologies and systems.
• Support important tasks for the entire organization such as: Auditing, Internal Control, among others.

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

• Education | Advanced student of Accountant or Business Administration.
• Work Experience | 1-3 of minimum experience of financial roles.
• Languages | Upper intermediate or higher leve lof English is mandatory. Portuguese is highly valued.
• Technical Skills | Solid knowledge with Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel. SAP is a plus.
• Soft Skills | Analytical capacity, ability to organize and prioritize, proactivity and autonomy, effective communication.
