Area:

At the Hub in Uruguay, we have a Supply Chain area, with a motivated and high-performing team where we offer a wide range of services in the supply chain connected to BASF's import, export, and transportation orders. We manage customer sample orders, material and label data creation management, customs management, and supplier operations. With our team of experts, we develop solutions that allow for greater efficiency and agility in our operations. In other words, we manage the flow of goods of products or services from the acquisition of raw materials to the delivery of the product at its destination across the Americas. The areas of Supply Chain include: Import, Export, Samples, Customs and Foreign Trade, Transport Management, Experts, and Master Data.

 

Main Objective:

Be the key contact for stakeholders (ODs, brokers, import and export analysts from the systems point of view and therefore the first point of contact for interface issues, SAP troubleshooting for bugs and problems affecting the daily operation).

 

Main Tasks:

  • Act as Key User for the Trade Compliance Competency Centers in scope.
  • Runs and documents user acceptance test (UAT) cases; reports errors and bugs (SAP R/3 and S/4).
  • Verifies process changes against business requirements.
  • Optimize processes (work organization, digitalization).
  • Supports the rollout of globally defined Trade Compliance concepts.
  • Knows and applies the available BASF tools for keeping knowledge management, documentation & reporting up to date for operations tasks and topics in scope.
  • Support and coordinate business transformation projects.
  • Drives the rollout and maintenance of the functional setup Trade Compliance to new legal entities in the region.

 

Requirements for the Position:

Education: University degree.

Working Experience: 5-8 years of experience in in EHS or chemical regulatory/compliance areas.

Language skills: advanced language ability in English, intermediate linguistic ability in Portuguese.

Technical skills:

  • Advanced technical skill in chemical regulations in Brazil.
  • Intermediate technical skill in chemical regulations in Argentina and Mexico.
  • Intermediate technical skill in data analysis
  • Basic technical skill in project management

Soft skills:

  • Verbal and written communication.

Tools & Technology skills:

  • Advanced technology tool in Microsoft Office
