Area:

The Digital Factory supports the Agricultural Solutions (AP) division in the development of cutting-edge solutions. Our mission is to help farmers increase crop productivity and profitability while reducing environmental impact. To date, two areas are represented in the Montevideo HUB: Solutions Delivery - designs technology solutions tailored to the specific needs of the agricultural sector; and AgroStart - is an agricultural innovation program that addresses specific needs within the organization. We accelerate development and work with technology startups to co-create solutions.

Main Objective:
The Business Analyst understand and document requirements, leveraging their advanced knowledge of Data Analysis, Data Modeling, internal data availability and SDLC, to recommend immediate solutions or next steps.

Main Tasks:

• Identify, gather and document the requirements of active or interested users or products across the organization.
• Analyze user/team requirements vis-a-vis knowledge of technology landscape, including those already available in-house and on the public market; work with Team members to solve use-cases with existing tools.
• Evaluate feasibility (e.g. Data availability/needs, technical constraints, etc.) and potential impact if any; work with broader Team to translate high-level requirements into data & technical specifications.
• Work closely with the respective product teams and the data modelling team in defining and developing the data needs & data mapping, data analysis, supporting in data modelling and documentation.
• Communicate technical concepts and work progress to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely; act as a continuous bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
• Stay up to date on the latest technological advancements and applications inside and outside of BASF; brainstorm and conduct self-experiments to discover solutions for known use-cases.
• Collaborate with the Team members to develop clear, comprehensive reports and presentations for key stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science or related careers with further education in IT/ Digitalization.
• Working Experience: 
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a consulting role with exposure to user needs analysis / documentation, software development and/or market research. Experience working with external vendors or partners.
  • Experience working in data related projects is highly valued.
• Language skills: Advanced level in English.
• Technical skills: 
  • Advanced skills in data driven projects, strong understanding or various data domains, data analysis and data modeling.
  • Advanced skills with concepts, tools, and applications, particularly in the field of data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience working with SQL.
• Soft skills: Advanced skills in analytical and problem-solving, with the ability to dissect complex issues and propose practical solutions.
