Area:
Environmental, Health & Safety is a Hub team that interacts regionally and globally with different business units and sites, providing services related to ecology, hygiene, safety, and quality. EHS is divided into two main areas: Product Safety—which provides support to businesses to ensure that products comply with health and safety regulations and standards—and Site EHSQ—which offers support to work sites to operate safely.
Main Objective:
As Specialist of Applied Sustainability (LCA), your primary goal is to evaluate the environmental and/or techno-economic impacts of products, processes, or services throughout their entire life cycle. You will conduct comprehensive assessments to identify opportunities for reducing environmental footprints, support business decision-making, and contribute to the development of more sustainable strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the organization towards achieving its corporate sustainability goals and ensuring transparency in the footprints of our solutions while ensuring compliance with international standards.
Main Tasks:
- Execute life cycle assessments (LCA) to evaluate the environmental and techno-economic impacts of products, processes, and services throughout their entire life cycle.
- Data modeling and processing to generate LCA and PCF reports, utilizing simulation tools such as Sphera.
- Assist in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into product design, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.
- Preparing sustainability reports and presentations to communicate the organization's progress and achievements in sustainability.
- Stay updated with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications related to sustainability, providing guidance to the organization accordingly.
Requirements:
- Education: A university degree preferably in engineering (chemical or related fields), environmental sciences, or sustainability management. A postgraduate degree in environmental engineering/sustainability/project management is valued.
- Working Experience: Minimum: 5+ years of experience in Sustainability areas as Environmentally Consulting, Energy management or other related fields.
- Language Skills: English Advanced.
- Technical Skills:
- Environmental Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing environmental impacts and indicators
- Sustainability Management: Knowledge in environmental impact assessment and sustainability management.
- Project Management: Experience in planning and managing projects, including meeting deadlines.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with LCA software tools. - ESFERA
- Data Interpretation: Ability to work with and interpret data effectively.
- Reporting: Skill in writing clear and concise reports.
- Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of environmental regulations.
- Statistical Knowledge: Basic understanding of statistics.
- Communication: Ability to explain results to diverse audiences.
- Soft Skills:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions from LCA studies, involving critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Manage multiple stages of LCA studies, set priorities, and meet deadlines to deliver high-quality work on time.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Work on diverse projects with varying scopes and methodologies and be open to learning new tools and approaches.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Understand stakeholder perspectives, address concerns, and engage in effective dialogue for successful LCA implementation.
