  • Serve as principal regional marketing communications manager for BASF Battery Materials business and topics in Asia-Pacific, implement regional execution of global communication plan, develop regional communications plan and translate into regional events and activities to support business growth in Asia-Pacific. The scope covers marketing communications, internal communications and digital communications
  • Collaborate with global battery materials communications team in EU, NA, as well as the teams in Japan and China and bring the best of the synergy in professionalism and business knowledge. 
  • Support to joint venture’s integration in communications.
  • Coordinate and liaise with communications communities in Asia-Pacific to increase the business impact of Battery Materials and ensure coordination and messaging alignment.
  • Provide support and help for divisional tasks as necessary.

Main Tasks:

  • Budget, design and manage internal and external activities, including but not limited to events, literature and promotional materials for the Battery Materials business in the region as needed
  • Drive regional media outreach and initiate media stories, press releases, interview outlines, etc. in support of Battery Materials topics.
  • Support on change management and issues/crisis management in the region.
  • Manage and execute joint venture integration communication
  • Deploy digital communication and social media strategies as well as activities in order to support the business goals.
  • Coordinate and liaise with communications communities in Asia-Pacific on relevant communications activities to ensure coordination and messaging alignment.
  • Provide support and counsel to regional business leaders and marketing team on customer & stakeholder communications, branding, employee engagement and crisis management.


  • Collaborative and team player
  • Master degree in journalism, marketing or mass communications with strong digital focus
  • At least 6 years working experience in media, project management, and marketing communications, either agency or in-house.
  • Strong experience in editorial/marcom event/digital planning, execution and evaluation.
  • Strategic thinking and working experience in BASF are highly valuable.
  • Proven agency and vendor management skills are required.
  • Very strong language expertise in English (written and oral) and Mandarin (written and oral)
  • High commitment and a motivated working style. Entrepreneurial thinking in a challenging environment is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of standard computer programs (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Webmaster).
