MAIN DUTIES

 General & strategic duties:

• Organizes and coordinates work on labor protection and industrial safety in the BASF group of companies in the Central Asia cluster
• Carries out control over the observance in the subdivisions of legislative normative legal acts on labor protection, guidelines, normative-technical and administrative documents
• Coordinates and supports the development of BASF EHS projects
• Provides assistance in organizing and conducting training on BASF's corporate standards and rules for occupational health and safety, implementation of BASF's "best practices" in occupational health and safety, provides information support in conducting discussions on labor protection with employees
• Monitors compliance with the instructions of state and departmental oversight bodies, recommendations of internal audits of BASF

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of legislative and regulatory legal acts, methodological materials on labor protection and industrial safety.

Specific knowledge, experience and skills:

• Experience of min. 4 years on similar EHS position at international company (production knowledge will be an advantage)
• Relationship management and negotiation skills
• Project and Conflict Management Skills with external and internal interfaces
• Presentation and proactive communication at all levels of seniority and departments
• Ability to work and adapt to a multi-cultural work environment
• Interpersonal collaboration skills to work in complex and virtual teams
• Proficiency in English
• Kazakh knowledge will be advantage
