Objectives• Provide market intelligence for category strategy development• Fulfill primary role as contact for Internal Business Partner at assigned sites• For Local Categories: accountable and responsible for Source to Contract activities• Execute local supplier management, emergency buying and provide field support for global and regional categories
Main tasks(Purchase to Strategy):On request by Category Manager or Category Buyer (channeled via Hub Management):• Provide market intelligence for category strategy development for Global and Regional Categories• Provide information on Internal Business Partner requirements(Source to Contract):For Local Categories, accountable and responsible for S2C activities:• Prepare and execute Request for quotation (RFX) (goods / services package, RfX type and approach, iBP requirements, roles for negotiation, list of suppliers, alternatives to negotiated agreement)• Accountable for definition of buying guide• Hand over RfX execution to Shared Service Center (if applicable)• Evaluate incoming offers and, if applicable, perform bonus/malus evaluation• Negotiation & contract award: determine optimal negotiation / award alternative, award goods / services package to supplier(s) and align with functional hierarchy if required• Contract implementation & monitoring: manage contracts and decide on appropriate actions, including supply issues• Escalation point for NCM management (with support from Operational Officer)• Collect required documents from supplier(s) for master data processes• Approve PO / Contract in SAPFor selected Global and Regional Categories responsible for assigned Source to contract activities (aligned with Hub Management):• Perform assigned Source to Contract activities within the set targets and boundary of the Category Buyer(Others):Fulfill primary role as contact for Internal Business Partner at assigned sites:• Understand Internal Business Partner needs, agree on site-specific measures and projects (“site activity plan”); provide input to Internal Business Partner BU target agreement, drive implementation with BU account manager, Category Buyers and other Local Procurement Representatives• Act as escalation point to plants and Shared Service Center in expediting of late deliveriesExecute local supplier management, emergency buying and provide field support for global and regional categories• Local supplier management: identification of suppliers and supplier development (on request for Global and Regional Categories)• Provide language support on request from Global and Regional Category Teams (aligned with Hub Management)• Coordinate small CAPEX projects (if no Project Procurement Manager assigned) in alignment with relevant Category Buyers• Act as contact for local compliance issues and ensure compliance with local regulations• Reporting of Result / Performance in ProValue for Local CategoriesAct as key focal point for the Business divisions operating in the assigned site.• Attend the Business Sales and operating meetings• Participate in business specific value add projects relating to procurement.• Provide support the business in alternate material/ single source reductionMinimum Education and Qualification required for the Position▪ BSC (chemistry) UDCT/MSc + MBA preferred (Operations/supply chain) with min 8 yrs. in relevant positions.▪ Working experience in chemical companies, preferably in MNC Procurement/Supply chain / operations▪ Good negotiation skills▪ Specific knowledge of supplier, market environment, products and technologies within respective area▪ Good Knowledge of procurement processes and guidelines▪ Good language skills in English▪ Good IT skills (e.g. SAP R/3 Cobalt, SAP Business Warehouse, Strategic Procurement Suite)▪ Good Knowledge on the chemical products / MSDS/ specifications / Business management▪ Willing to travel across the manufacturing sites at regular intervals
