Where the Chemistry Happens


We are seeking a professional like you for this tactical and daily maintenance focused position. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with operations and maintenance personnel and providing services related to design, repair, and maintenance, including preventative maintenance.

Formula for Success

  • Using your understanding of critical maintenance activities, i.e. static and rotating mechanical equipment repairs, you will improve Asset Effectiveness and reliability of equipment and processes.
  • Demonstrating your sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment, you will provide first line technical support to maintenance supervisors and crafts on equipment problems, offer Tier 1 troubleshooting support and recommendations to operating units including emergency work reviews, and participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems.
  • Your proven computer skills using (SAP) CMMS systems or a similar enterprise software system will serve you well as you create and review BOMs.
  • Leveraging your Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and your professional work experience, you will support reliability processes to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve AE and develop a disciplined and systematic equipment Maintenance strategy and upkeep (ever-green) based upon business needs.
  • Your strong business acumen will be a valued asset as you provide input to the Maintenance budget and determine cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with customer demands for the timely repair of equipment.
  • Utilizing your general understanding of industrial maintenance procedures including work planning, PM, and repair parts acquisition, you will establish, monitor, and optimize Preventative Maintenance Plans.
  • Your excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) will be essential as you assist in the training and development of in-house maintenance resources.
  • Making business decisions based upon situation analysis and resources available, you will evaluate new technologies, review SOPs from a Maintenance perspective, interpret codes, regulations, and standards, and identify and implement best practices across the site.
  • Successfully supporting capital projects, you will supply engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of capital projects in accordance with plant design requirements as well as regulatory and BASF standards.
  • Familiar with SIS Principals and or certification.
