Regional Sales Manager, Formulation Technologies (1901899) – Florham Park, NJ

The BASF division of Care Chemicals offers a broad range of ingredients for personal care, home care, industrial & institutional cleaning, agricultural chemical additives and other industrial applications. We support our customers worldwide with innovative and sustainable products, solutions, and concepts. The division’s high-performance product portfolio includes surfactants, emulsifiers, polymers, emollients, chelating agents, cosmetic active ingredients, and UV filters. As the Regional Sales Manager for Formulation Technologies in North America, you will lead a team of five sales professionals in a growing market by understanding customer needs and facilitating the sales of a strategic, profitable product mix through collaboration with Marketing, Technical, and Product Management.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Success will depend on sales, marketing, new business development, and technology teams working together to understand and fulfill unmet customer needs.
  • Your professional selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills will be a valued asset as you cultivate high-level relationships with key customers, as well as effectively sell the value of Care Chemical's product portfolio.
  • Your demonstrated account management capabilities will be critical to our success as you will identify, promote, and capture new opportunities at developmental accounts, and drive opportunities to closure through strong pipeline management.
  • Your strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills will be essential as you implement the industry-focused business strategy and ensure regional account plans with robust action plans are fully executed.
  • As a trusted role model, you will act as an inspirational leader by modeling the BASF leadership competencies.
  • As a self-directed leader that has a track record of delivering results, you will motivate the sales team to achieve maximum effort and increase the efficiency of account managers and also provide individual coaching for personal development.
  • Leveraging your education and experience, you will drive forecasting, budgeting and operational planning within the team to achieve aggressive financial goals for the business.
