The Government and Industry Affairs Coordinator supports the U.S. PGA team’s advocacy and policy initiatives by serving as a liaison with government agencies, industry associations, and key stakeholders. This role involves monitoring legislative developments, coordinating industry engagement activities, and ensuring compliance with lobbying and reporting requirements.

- Tracking and analyzing federal legislative and national industry developments that impact BASF Agricultural Solutions LLC.
- Preparing policy briefs, bill summaries, and reports on legislative and industry trends.
- Assisting in planning and executing lobbying activities, advocacy campaigns, and industry outreach programs.
- Managing coordination for PGA events, advocacy days, industry roundtables, webinars, and stakeholder meetings.
- Coordinating with trade associations, coalitions, and industry partners to align policy priorities and initiatives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with industry representatives.
- Managing sponsorship coordination activities.
- Drafting internal updates, briefings, advocacy messaging and external correspondence.
- Supporting lobbying disclosure filings, reporting, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Organizing advocacy days, industry roundtables, webinars, and stakeholder meetings.
If you...
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Business, Communications, or related field (Concentration in agriculture field preferred).
- Have 3 years of experience in government relations, industry affairs, public policy, or similar roles; experience in U.S. Congress or Federal Agency, a trade association or corporate government affairs team preferred. Agriculture industry preferred.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate organizational and project management abilities.
- Have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with legislative tracking tools is a plus.
- Display strong presentation development and information design ability.
- Are able to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
- Possess high level of professionalism and discretion, and professional executive presence.
- Have knowledge of legislative processes and industry regulatory frameworks.
- Have connection to Washington, DC agriculture stakeholder network is a plus.
- Are able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Are flexible to work occasional evenings or travel up to 15% for events.
