We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join our Performance Materials team in Toronto.

The Performance Materials division is at the forefront of the much-needed sustainability transformation in plastics. We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join the BASF Toronto Polyurethane System House team. In this role, you will manage raw material and packaging inventory and provide master data support to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment.

As a member of the Toronto Supply Chain Team, your success will be driven through strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across various departments, your proven problem-solving capabilities and adaptability under pressure. And finally, your excellent analytical skills with proficiency in SAP.

As a Supply Chain Planner, you create chemistry by...

 

  • Developing and maintaining raw material and packaging plans (bulk, drums, totes) to support production schedules and sales projections
  • Providing your familiarity with material planning processes, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP), as you order raw materials and packaging to meet the production plan.
  • Communicating the site’s needs and requirements with procurement agents and suppliers via forecasting processes
  • Managing dysfunctional and slow-moving inventory (bulk and packaged materials), driving disposition decisions.
  • Coordinating and reconciling monthly cycle counts.  Assisting the receiving/warehouse team members with inventory discrepancies.
  • Providing Site Master data support including setting up new finished good materials & raw material products in both SPASS and SAP systems.
  • Contributing to supply chain KPIs including inventory targets, cost saving initiatives, reduction of dysfunctional inventory
  • Providing as a Backup Finished Good Planner when they are out of office.

If you have...

 

  • High School Diploma required, Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Related Discipline Preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems, think quickly and balance multiple priorities 
  • Good understanding of SAP planning and inventory management (or willingness to learn)
