We are looking for a Sr. Account Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team for our Vegetable Seeds business in Washington state in the southeastern Tri-City area. This position is a remote, field-based position in the state of Washington and the candidate should reside in the southeastern Tri-City area.

The Senior Account Manager will develop, plan and execute sales initiatives for strategic accounts to initiate, sustain, and grow business over time. They will cultivate long‑term partnerships with national and international customers, aligned with the M&S strategy and BASF Vegetable Seeds’ objectives to drive both profitability and lasting collaboration.

- Planning, reviewing, adapting and executing the annual sales plan for selected key accounts, including customer plans, sales targets, KPIs and crop marketing actions to meet the annual Basic Plan
- Representing the company and presenting value‑based proposals aligned with key customers’ needs to build long‑term partnerships and generate sustainable sales
- Managing customer relationships with top retailers in the region to strengthen market presence and distribution
- Leading and coordinating customer teams to deliver solutions, streamline customer‑facing processes, share actionable information and overcome objections to enhance the Nunhems customer experience
- Providing market, pricing, product, grower and consumer insights to inform crop vision and strategic planning
- Collaborating and networking across crop teams to align on crop strategy and implement marketing and business plans
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to evaluate varietal performance and support the introduction of new varieties
If you...
• Hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Bring 5–8 years of sales experience, agronomic sales experience is a plus.
• Previous experience with onions, a plus.
• Possess well rounded knowledge of the vegetable seed business and strong agronomic expertise.
• Demonstrate advanced consultative selling skills, including negotiation and closing.
• Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to influence decisions across diverse roles and functions.
• Are fluent in English (required); bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Apply strong project management skills to drive initiatives to completion, project management experience is a plus.
• Show proven leadership ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to teams.
• Communicate clearly, exercise sound judgment, and maintain high levels of organization.
• Perform effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Maintain strong relationships with and knowledge of top retailers in the USA; lead turnkey projects for customers or retail partners.
• Collaborate across levels and functions to build productive internal partnerships.
• Are proficient with Microsoft Office and have working knowledge of CRM systems.
• Are able to day travel regularly in the territory and able to travel overnight up to 25%.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $89,600 - $123,200. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
