Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and perform advanced control and graphic configuration. You will be responsible to deliver and maintain Control Systems (DCS and PLCs; Foxboro, SIS, APACs) that meet Production’s requirements and perform as necessary to achieve functionality and safety obligations and maximize system capability. You will work closely with operations to optimize existing control schemes as well as develop new control strategies by supporting the unit by analysis using Aspentech’s IP.21. You will be responsible for the 3rd party process control engineers engaged in project support and maintenance support activities in addition to leading the White Stone site as the process control subject matter expert.Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success
- Leveraging your bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or a related discipline and your experience in specialty chemical automation, you will provide expert support for the control systems as needed across the plant. Your solid programming software knowledge will be essential as you utilize various types of DCS, PLC and SIS equipment and software (Foxboro, APACS, Triconex) during your daily work. Demonstrating your robust technical knowledge, you will perform advanced control and graphic configuration on systems across the plant. Your effective communication and strong team work skills will serve you well as you coordinate with Operations to implement process improvement, troubleshooting, and periodic health checks of installed base control systems. Your experience providing technical guidance will be a valued asset as you provide expertise as a resource in Advanced Process Control. Understanding plant specific requirements and control systems, you will provide technical expertise for other systems and communications protocols used onsite.
