The Procurement General Buyer (GB) plays a crucial role in guiding demand, addressing site‑specific needs, and acting as a business focal point to streamline and accelerate procurement processes. The position works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support business needs and execute category strategies aligned with regional and global procurement objectives.

- Managing the end‑to‑end procurement cycle for indirect materials and services, from demand intake through contract execution, aligned with business needs, including but not limited to: RFI, RFQ, RFP processes, PO creation, supplier and stakeholder relationship management, and on-time delivery of orders and services.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, leading sourcing events, and driving digitalization to improve efficiency and transparency.
- Supporting the development and execution of category strategies in alignment with regional and global procurement frameworks, collaborating closely with regional and global procurement teams and internal partners on projects across the value chain.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities, value improvements, and risk mitigation actions within assigned categories.
- Acting as the primary procurement interface (Navigator) for Coatings’ US and Canada sites, serving as the first point of contact for all indirect procurement needs and directing Internal Business Partners (iBPs) to the appropriate contacts within the Procurement organization.
- Managing supplier performance, risks, development initiatives, and negotiations, ensuring sustainable and reliable supply chains.
- Adapting flexibly to evolving business demands, including Project Procurement Management and digital transformation initiatives.
If you...
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or high school diploma and 5 years direct experience.
- Have experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management, preferably in a multinational or complex organization. Experience with Indirect procurement is a plus.
- Have negotiation skills and basic knowledge of contracting under local law.
- Have the ability to proactively drive projects and demands forward in support of business priorities
- Have a creative and effective problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Are a self‑motivated individual with a strong team spirit and a desire to continuously develop and elevate the procurement organization.
- Strong communication skills in English required.
- Experience working with SAP strongly preferred.
