We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our Catalyst team in Seneca, SC.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

 

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, application of standards and coordinating services of planned maintenance and construction jobs in order to minimize costs and production downtime by the proper use of craft manpower, materials and services. You will determine manpower required for construction, major maintenance and routine maintenance projects to properly utilize the manning in assigned areas. You will also plan major plant turnarounds and promote effective planning and scheduling techniques.

As a Maintenance Planner, you create chemistry by...

  • Developing and optimizing maintenance schedules based on operational priorities.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor and Coordinator to plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Estimating required time and resources for each maintenance task.
  • Monitoring spare parts inventory to ensure availability for routine and emergency maintenance.
  • Creating detailed job plans with input from the maintenance team.
  • Using SAP to record, track, and analyze maintenance activities.
  • Coordinating with vendors and suppliers for procurement of tools, equipment, and parts.
  • Reviewing and clarifying maintenance and engineering work requests; contacting originators for additional information as needed.
  • Managing and prioritizing the backlog of unplanned work, grouping related tasks and ensuring proper planning.
  • Serving as the subject matter expert for materials required for planned jobs, conducting field walk-downs to define scope and requirements.
  • Expediting materials for emergency work when necessary.
  • Reviewing planned jobs with Maintenance Supervision and facilitating meetings with maintenance and production personnel as required.

If you...

  • Hold a HS Diploma or GED, and have a technical degree or certification (preferred but not required).
  • Possess 3-5 years of mechanical, industrial, or chemical experience.
  • Have analytical and strong communication skills.
  • Have strong work management and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Have strong computer skills and a keen attention to detail (SAP knowledge preferred but not required).
  • Have the ability to write job plans, read blueprints, and drawings.
