We are looking for a Quality Supervisor to join our Performance Chemicals team in Savannah, GA.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

In this role, you'll lead and manage the Quality Control department at the Savannah, GA site by supervising, scheduling, and training the lab team, ensuring equipment accuracy and maintenance, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and budget requirements. Support production goals by overseeing testing data integrity, shipment clearance, and collaborating with peers and customers across the BASF network. 

As a Quality Supervisor, you create chemistry by...

• Leading and coordinating the Quality Control department to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
• Supervising, scheduling, and training laboratory personnel to maintain high standards of performance.
• Managing equipment calibration, maintenance, and accuracy to meet quality requirements.
• Ensuring data integrity and overseeing shipment clearance and release operations.
• Maintaining document control systems and laboratory information systems for accurate reporting.
• Conducting regulatory audits and enforcing safety and compliance with BASF and OSHA standards.
• Interfacing with customers and internal teams to resolve quality-related issues and meet specifications.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives for KPIs and multi-site laboratory alignment.

If you...

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Science or a closely related discipline, or a HS diploma with 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Bring relevant industrial work experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Demonstrate proven supervisory experience managing teams and administrative processes is a plus.
• Show strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and quality systems.
• Exhibit proficiency in computer systems including LIMS, SAP, and document control tools.
• Hold experience with Gage R&R concepts and statistical tools such as Minitab and Excel.
• Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customer and team interactions.
• Maintain strong organizational and planning abilities to manage resources and meet goals.
