We are looking for a Greenhouse Technician to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon, SK.

This role ensures smooth greenhouse operations and supports research involving multiple trials running simultaneously. The position aims to maintain plant health, apply treatments accurately, and keep processes organized for reliable research outcomes.

As a Greenhouse Technician, you create chemistry by...

• Performing routine greenhouse tasks, including potting, planting, and watering, while maintaining cleanliness and organization of greenhouse and work areas.
• Operating greenhouse equipment and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Monitoring plant health and implementing pest management strategies, including insect scouting, pesticide application, and beneficial insect release using IPM techniques.
• Collecting, entering, and managing data using electronic systems and data management tools.
• Capturing, labeling, and uploading high-quality plant photographs; creating and editing plant videos.
• Assisting in the evaluation of trials and supporting Support laboratory-based research tasks such as media preparation and fungal culture maintenance.
• Developing and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
• Maintaining seed and chemical inventories, ordering supplies and track expenses to stay within assigned budgets, conducting regular safety checks on equipment.
• Communicating effectively and provide guidance and support to temporary workers.

If you have...

• A B.Sc. or Diploma in Agriculture/Biology with emphasis on horticulture, crop science, weed science, agronomy, plant pathology, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Horticulture experience and previous greenhouse experience is an asset, however not required.
• An understanding of western Canadian agriculture and crops.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to complete repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Knowledge of camera operation, photography techniques and video editing skills.
• Comfort working independently and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work in a greenhouse environment (standing, hot, humid) and to lift 50lbs.
