We are looking for a Group Leader, Regulatory Affairs to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC. Preference is for the role to be a hybrid position in Research Triangle Park, NC, but open to a Remote US option.

The Group Leader, Regulatory Affairs leads a diverse and high performing group of Regulatory Managers and Technical Experts responsible for the development and implementation of regulatory strategies and activities to achieve and maintain US Federal Registrations for new and existing products. This group leader position will lead staff that will support the US Crop Protection business along with P&SS, Biologicals and Seed Treatment business units as needed.
As a Group Leader, Regulatory Affairs, you create chemistry by...
- Providing strong leadership of high performing regulatory professionals with a diverse array of active ingredient and product responsibilities.
- Ensuring complete, accurate and strategically sound submission through formal dossier reviews prior to submission to regulatory agencies.
- Building and maintain a diverse, high performing team (e.g. through training and development of individuals, attracting/retaining talent, creating an inspiring staff, and creating an innovative and inclusive working environment).
- Ensuring effective and efficient communications and interactions with the North American Crop Protection, P&SS, Seed Treatment, and Biological organizations, and BASF’s Global Regulatory and Functional Units.
- Externally, functioning as a BASF Regulatory Expert/Representative for regulatory authorities, industry associations and commodity organizations.
If you have...
- One of the following education/experience combinations:
- Ph.D. in a related scientific discipline and a minimum of 5+ years of years of experience in the Agricultural and/or Non-crop Chemical Industry.
- MS degree in a related scientific discipline with 10+ years of related experience with a minimum of 5+ years of years of experience in the Agricultural and/or Non-crop Chemical Industry.
- BS degree in a related scientific discipline with 15+ years of related experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Agricultural and/or Non-crop Chemicals Industry.
- Experience in R&D or regulatory management experience: proven success leading a group of individuals and/or project teams.
- Previous experience in US pesticide registrations with a proven record of success is required.
- Strong knowledge and experience with FIFRA regulations and good understanding of relevant regulations, such as TSCA, etc.
- Proven management skills leading complex projects and cross functional project teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with experience synthesizing complex scientific and regulatory information in a continually changing regulatory environment into understandable, clear and effective regulatory strategies at the portfolio level.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically with potential for international travel.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $140,000 - $192,500. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
