We are looking for a Greenhouse Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC.

As a Greenhouse Associate you  will support global and US seed treatment R&D by by providing technical support for greenhouse and growth chamber experiments. Utilizing knowledge of controlled environment systems and experimental design the greenhouse associate will be responsible for experimental setup activites and assisting with data collection and management. In addition the greenhouse associate will be responbile for colony maintenance and production of nematodes and fungal pathogen to support experiments. This role must effectively communicate and collaborate with team members to follow all experiemtnal SOPs as well as comply with APHIS, OSHA, and internal safety SOP’s. 

During your time as a Greenhouse Associate, you will

  • Support Greenhouse and Growth Chamber Trial
  • Be in charge of colony Maintanenace and Inoculant Preparation
  • Support US field trials: Work with STTC team during spring treating season to prep, weigh, treat, and ship seed to external and internal field trials.
  • Be responsible for data collection and managment

If you have...

  • Bachelors Degree in a biological or agricultural science such as plant physiology, agronomy, botany, or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years’ related experience. 
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience and knowledge in growing & maintaining plants in controlled-environment settings.
  • Proficiency in asceptic technique and experience maintaining fungal and nematode colonies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to efficiently maintain timelines for deliverables on research priorities.
  • Ability to operate seed treatment application equipment and follow SOP’s with chemical and biological actives to ensure safety and compliance
  • Ability to work with experimental compounds including: reading and understanding labels and SDS’s, following SOP’s, wearing proper PPE including occasional use of a respirator
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, invenotry and trial management software (ARM and SWATT) preferred.
