BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded graduate and graduate candidates an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to a real-world assignment at a BASF research farm location in collaboration with other BASF Technical Service Representatives, Biologists (R&D), Business Representatives and Agronomic Solution Advisors.

BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS GRADUATING BETWEEN DECEMBER 2021 AND AUGUST 2022
 
Program Summary:

  • Leveraging your education and professional background you will provide technical skills to enhance BASF’s reputation with the customer and integrate within the business and technical community to bring additional value to BASF’s agricultural solutions customers., you will participate in a 12-month assignment to provide technical responsibility, leadership and positioning of BASF products
  • Effectively engaging across the business, you will become a Subject Matter Expert of BASF’s products and portfolio by providing technical support to both internal (business representatives, biology, agronomic solution advisors) and external stakeholders (customers, consultants and university personnel)
  • Effectively communicate and positively influence key stake holders through relationship building and regular contact
  • Provide product information, label updates and technical results to assist in research programs
Formula for Success

  • With a completion of your M.S. or PHD in Agriculture, Biology, or Plant Science related field between December 2021 and May 2022, you will have the opportunity to partner with a local technical service representative and will assume technical responsibility, leadership and positioning for BASF products (labels, product use direction, training materials and recommendations) in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Your academic performance of a 3.0 (minimum) or higher you will be able to successfully engage with others on topics relevant to plant health.
  • A valid Driver’s License
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
  • Demonstrated leadership & academic achievement
  • A commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S. during and upon place off from the program.
