Reporting to the Product Launch Manager, the Product Launch Specialist will ensure new products are provided to the customer in a timely manner, ensuring product stewardship, innovation, and sustainability are integral to the new product development and product changes process and output. This involves initiating change requests, ensuring completeness of actions, leading lessons learned discussions & plans and maintaining project execution records. The Product Launch Specialist will represent the Canadian Operations team in Regional Product Launch Excellence activities.
As a Product Launch Specialist, you create chemistry by...
- Providing interface and coordination with the business as functional team lead for the Product Launch Excellence process – interfacing with R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Stewardship and Manufacturing sites.
- Completing or participating in pre-ORT activities as defined by Product Launch Manager.
- Ensuring all logo/artwork/ label and carton text are developed according to the provided die lines/specs and planned deadlines. Additionally, ensuring packaging specs for new packages or changes to existing packaging or labeling is created and communicated to the appropriate people.
- Ensuring that all aspects of master data are completed for all articles within the process.
- Following up on launch actions and management of change requests and close projects per launch framework.
- Ensure that all UN certification is managed and maintained with Transport Canada.
- Completing lessons learned, develop improvement plans and ensure execution. Improve overall launch processes.
If you have...
- A Bachelor’s degree, with 3 - 5 years in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related business experience.
- Project management skills, since they are critical to the success of this role.
- Intermediate knowledge MS teams, SAP, Power BI, Project Professional is preferable.
- Analytical, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with teams to enable project completion, with competing priorities and uncertainties, in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Additionally, promoting independent working, simplification, and value-added activities.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead cross functional discussions driving solutions of complex problems.
- Ability to identify interdependencies of tasks, define proper workflows, priorities, create Gantt charts, keep the pulse, escalate issues, and close the projects.
- Keen attention to detail and an ability to follow through, these are essential to ensuring that operations meet project deliverables and timeline.
