As a Packaging Line Operator you will collaborate with a group of skilled operators to ensure the smooth packaging of an average of 30 million liters of products each year. Your responsibilities will include adhering to strict safety protocols, optimizing operational efficiency, and upholding our high-quality standards throughout the packaging process. This position is essential in maintaining our commitment to excellence as we deliver top-notch products to our customers.
As a Packaging Line Operator, you create chemistry by...
- Maintaining high level of quality standards when producing finished goods in the packaging department (pallet inspections, product change overs, line setup, drain downs, rinsing, packaging material screening, in-line inspections, inventory control, cycle counts).
- Operating packaging equipment, monitoring and adjusting accordingly to ensure proper function, troubleshoot and report issues to Team Lead.
- Complying and supporting all RCMS and ISO requirements for the Regina site including completing all departmental and EHS training (online, classroom, SOP’s) to identify and mitigate all safety risks and control measures within the packaging department. Reporting near misses and participating in incident investigations when required.
- Interacting with the packaging team during Tier 1 meetings and other departments, through open communication, maintaining and promoting a positive working relationship ensuring the plant’s function is effective and efficient.
- Effectively participating in sharing resources and knowledge throughout the Regina Plant to achieve high efficiencies and meet production schedule targets.
- Remaining open to cross-training and other self-development opportunities to build a competent knowledgebase for equipment on all packaging lines.
If you have...
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 – 5 years experience in a production environment.
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the job lifting up to 50 LBS.
- Computer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are key.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- SAP or similar ERP system experience is strongly preferred.
- An ability to set priorities and make decisions in a dynamic, fast paced work environment.
- Lean / Six Sigma training, this is considered an asset.
