Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you who will be responsible for planning and scheduling in the BASF Dispersions site at Monaca, PA. In this role, you will coordinate maintenance and production schedules, plan and assist with scheduling of maintenance work, and provide prompt and timely service for all internal customers.  Additionally, you will identify and stage equipment, materials, and special tools necessary for maintenance work execution, prepare job packages, input data in SAP for work orders, and maintain ongoing coordination of outside services with selected contractors and suppliers.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your education and work experiences in a chemical or petrochemical or other similar manufacturing environment, you will create job scopes including, labor and material requirements, necessary tools and equipment, and any external resources. Determine work order costs to move work orders to “Ready to Schedule” status.
  • Your ability to plan properly will be valued as you identify permitting and special process isolation requirements, coordinate critical purchase requisitions, solicit for contractor quotations and expedite deliveries for business needs.
  • Demonstrating your administrative and organizational skills, you will create task lists for recurring or preventive maintenance work, and purchase requisitions for necessary materials, equipment or contract services. You will also receive all parts and organize into kits, creating job packets as needed, providing spec sheets, vendor manuals, P&IDs, photos, and isolation plans.
  • Successfully collaborating with your maintenance colleagues, you will support continuous improvement of job plans.
  • Prepare all maintenance work requests and urgent repairs and conduct weekly scheduling meeting, striving to plan work further and further into the future.
  • Manage all facets of work order data within SAP, facilitating data reporting. The data belongs to the Planner/Scheduler.
  • Your strong work management skills will be beneficial in this role as you manage the backlog of unplanned work – review the backlog and planning list, clarify with requestors incomplete or unclear work notifications, group work orders/notifications together to be completed as a single order, coordinate assemblies for third party repair, and determine the appropriate degree of planning.
