We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions to join our Digital Solutions team in Toronto, ON.

We as Global Digital Services enable BASF’s digitalization and adoption of artificial intelligence. In agile teams, we develop innovative solutions for BASF and its customers, create new exciting customer experiences and business growth, and drive efficiencies in processes. We provide IT that works and offer knowhow and access to latest technologies. 

As an Senior IT Project Manager, you will support BASF growth strategy by leading projects in the area of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and new sites focusing on Information Services to enable business solutions.

As a Senior IT Project Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions, you create chemistry by...

• Partnering for the sponsor and other stakeholders to ensure successful  project delivery.
• Leading IT projects with a focus on business targets.
• Delivering complete project on time, within budget, scope and high quality.
• Driving the delivery model in alignment with BASF Digital Services strategy targets.
• Leading large cross-functional, cross-regional project team throughout the project phases in a global environment including teams outside BASF Digital Services. 
• Setting up the project organization, identifying relevant roles and staffing  the project team.
• Ensuring project process compliance, supporting project approval and change management process, achieving  project stage gates and providing status reporting.

If you have...

• A Masters degree / University degree of Applied Sciences degree (Information Technologies, Business IT, Business Administration) or related field,  with several years of IT business solution consultant or general business experience as well as additional education.
• PMP Certification or similar (PMI, Prince, etc.).
• At least 5 years professional experience in project management including mergers & acquisitions projects and familiarity with IT challenges.
• SAP ERP experience is a plus. 
• Strong entrepreneurial drive and communication skills.
• Well-developed conflict management skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
