As a QA/QC Technician II, you should be able to provide analytical support to the production departments in accordance with quality standards, good laboratory practices, and the prevention of cross-contamination and microbiological contamination, while following the occupational health, safety, and environmental protection guidelines established by BASF. It is expected that you will obtain your Explosives License within 6 to 12 months from your hiring date.

During your rotating shift as a QA/QC Technician II, you will

• Expedite accurate laboratory testing results.
• Maintain graphical analysis and laboratory reports for check samples.
• Organize and prioritize duties, approving or rejecting raw materials, packaging components, and bulk products.
• Provide analytical support for discrepancies and maintain up-to-date documentation related to routine maintenance of equipment, waste, reagent inventory, laboratory equipment, analyses performed, and instrument calibration records, among others.
• Calibrate analytical systems as required by the analysis methodology.
• Prepare liquid chromatographs for use during product changes.
• Perform other laboratory tasks, such as changing cylinders in the gas area, disposing of excess samples, cleaning glassware, conducting routine maintenance of instruments, and verifying the operation of the instruments, among others.

If you...

• Have a BS degree, preferably with a concentration in Chemistry,
• Are able to read and understand English and Spanish while possessing computer skills.
• Show basic knowledge of mathematics, laboratory equipment, titration techniques, and the analytical documentation procedure, as well as knowledge of safety laws and regulations.
• Have a minimum of three years of experience in an industrial laboratory, including at least one year of experience with liquid chromatography.
