Plant Manager (2200079) – Lubbock, TX


Where the Chemistry Happens


We are looking for a Plant Manager in our Lubbock, TX location who will direct and coordinate plant operations which will include delinting, cleaning, treating, and bagging of bulk cotton seed. Position also includes debagging, treating, cleaning, and bagging carryover seed. Key emphasis will be placed on achieving daily, weekly, and yearly production goals set forth by Supply Chain while producing a high quality product within a safe work environment. Day to day communication to direct reports to achieve these goals. Ensure preventative.

Formula for Success


    BS in Agronomy, Seed Science, Plant Science, Agricultural Economics or a related discipline is a plus.  

    Bring your experience in cotton production/research, cotton ginning, seed production, quality assurance, or seed conditioning plant.

    Organizational, Leadership, and Managerial skills

    Knowledge of equipment to determine proper response for mechanical failures.

    Critical and logical thinking ability and skills to plan for future plant needs

    Ability to use Excel, Word, e-mail, and SAP.

    Ability to control cost and prepare budgets

    Ability to work with employees to develop programs that result in improvement in work skills or take disciplinary action.
