Where the Chemistry Happens…  

 Targeter – 2102101 – Huntsville, AL

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

  • Safety advocate who is committed to identifying and reducing safety exposures  
  • Approves catalytic slurry to coat based on lab analysis/part requirements and creates initial target and targeting folder  
  • Determines solids and wet gain required to achieve catalyst part requirements during coating  
  • Determines and communicates dilution and additive requirements for slurry RTC  
  • Records and analyzes slurry data  
  • Observes manufacturing processes and recommends modifications and improvements  
  • Communicates effectively and collaborates for achievement with the following personnel and departments:
    • Slurry prep to ensure that ready-to-coat slurry is available to coating operations as scheduled  
    • Analytical Lab personnel on data discrepancies and/or sample priorities  
    • Production Control Associates for coater scheduling of slurries  
    • Process Technicians for profiling of slurries and conditioning  
    • Process Engineering to resolve issues with problematic slurries and lots  
    • Logistics with the coordination of slurries using scheduling software  
    • Inventory Analysts on getting batches approved, work orders for adjustments, and checking SAP variances  
  • Logs samples in the SAP database and creates sample bottle labels  
  • Cross trains and backs up other personnel as needed, mandatory

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Basic Qualifications:  

  • High School Diploma or GED required  
  • 5 years manufacturing experience  
  • 2 years intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office and relevant technical software required)  
Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Minimum Associates degree in a Math / Accounting or Science field  
  • Strong knowledge of Precious Metal accounting and control concepts.  
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence others and collaborate for achievement.  
  • Proficient in SAP
